Widows With Strength International’s Executive Director, Mwaba Barcelos, founder Mwila Chigaga, Board Member, David Swanson, will speak to us about Zambia and the 10 year history of Widows With Strength International. The empowerment strategies used by the organization, its successes, and its future challenges will be discussed.

A Future Role for the UN in the World

Dr. Maurice Alden East Professor Emeritus of International Affairs and Political Science from The George Washington University will present a look at how the US' role in the world became so unpopular at home and abroad. An analysis of what sorts of changes might be possible, even within the Bush Administration, to change our role in the world to one that might meet more acceptance.
