June 2006 Meeting

Starting at the Bell Tower and going west on Hillsborough Street (towards Cary), there is a small historical building called the Primrose.
Then there are three connected buildings.
The first is an old, dark, brick, industrial-style building with Romanesque windows called Tompkins with an entrance at 2211 Hillsborough.
Next is an infill building with light brick walls and postmodern plain windows.
That is Caldwell and there is no entrance.
The third is Winston at 2211 Hillsborough.
Winston is an elaborate neo-classic building with tall, tan, brick Doric columns by the portico entrance.
Enter this building.
The entrance is across the street from Sylvia’s Pizza and Brugger’s Bagels at the corner of Logan Court. Once inside, turn left in the main corridor to a dead end. Jog left at the water fountain and jog right. Go through double doors which will take you from Winston to Caldwell. Immediately turn left and take the elevator or the stairway down one flight to the ground floor. Do not go through the double doors back into Winston. Go down the hall in Caldwell until you find classroom G-009. Parking:Hillsborough Street and adjoining streets have free parking after 5:00 p.m.. The parking lot by the former motel one block west of the Bell Tower called North Hall Lot is open to the public after 5:00.
