Speakers:

Nidhi Khosia and Matthew Ford, Fellows from the Duke-UNC Rotary Center for International Studies in Peace and Conflict Resolution.

Background:

Nidhi Khosia is from India. She has a Bachelor's in Economics from Delhi University and studied Rural Management where she developed a deep commitment to spend her life on humanitarian issues. She is studying at the UNC School of Public Health in the Maternal and Child Health Department. Her special interests relate to HIV/AIDS and anti-trafficking. She will be doing a summer internship in Bangladesh with a group working on a project with the World Health Organization.

Mathew Ford is from Australia where he received a Bachelor's in Economics and a B.A. in Politics and German from Monash University in Melbourne. He has traveled throughout southeast Asia before moving to Japan to teach English and study the Japanese language and culture. As a Rotary Fellow he is studying at UNC in the Political Science Department. He will be doing his internship with the World Bank in Washington, working with a new unit that is studying the effectiveness of World Bank projects in Africa.

Place:

The Oak Room under the Belk Dining Room at Meredith College. Enter the Meredith campus from the Faircloth Road entrance off Wade Avenue, turn right at the stop sign, and follow the road up the hill until there are parking places on both sides of the street — the dining hall will be on your left. If no parking space is open, back track and go left into the staff parking lot.
